Purely Pilates Studio
Purely Pilates was the first fully equipped Pilates Studio to open in Brighton and Hove in 2008. We’re still going strong, loving our work and have a large number of clients who have been with us from the beginning.
We offer mat and reformer classes at different levels (including pregnancy), as well as Studio and 1-1 sessions. Our classes are based on the Stott Pilates method and will help you get stronger, feel better and allow you to move your body more easily, whatever your age, physical ability or need.
We love working with individuals to meet a particular goal and we are experienced in working closely with other health professionals to rehabilitate you, get you back on your feet or assist with a particular condition.
We think our courses stand out from the crowd as they:
- offer consistency for you to work out with one particular instructor. This means they can get to know you and are able to offer modifications needed to help you get the best from each class
- are planned by experienced instructors, developing your strength and flexibility each week
- allow you to drop in and catch up on any classes you miss

Introduction to Mat Pilates for Beginners Saturday 16th May at 11am with Hannah
If you’ve never attended a Pilates class before you’ll need to have a 1-1 or join a Beginner Introduction to Mat Pilates class before joining the weekly group classes.
Myofascial Pilates Friday’s at 12.15pm with Gemma
Join Gemma for this new weekly class which will explore Pilates movements from a Myofascial perspective. Each week we’ll play with the Rebound “spring” element of myofascial movement, alongside the Recoil, the free elastic energy that we naturally have in our bodies. We’ll explore Myofascial Release, moving away from the idea of static stretching and looking at ways to unweave inhibited areas and encourage your body to reorganise so you move in a more balanced, fluid way. We’ll Restore and Refine movement patterns so that your body feels stronger and moves more efficiently . This class is suitable for any level and ability.
“Mat to Machine” New 4 week Reformer Intro for Complete Beginners
The Introduction to Reformer is a 4 week course, designed for complete Beginners to Pilates.
For total beginners to Pilates. You’ll do two weeks learning the basic principles and some mat repertoire before being introduced to the Reformer and all its benefits for the second two weeks
